At just 16, Billy Moore was charged in the shooting death of a high school basketball star. After serving 20 years in prison, Billy now dedicates his life to reducing gun violence through Chicago CRED, an organization that serves those most at risk of involvement in gun violence. To be a positive influence and show the young men he works with how education can change their lives for the better, Moore decided to go to college. Nearly 40 years after a mistake that changed his and so many other lives, he graduated at 55, earning a BA in General Studies online with SNHU.
